For three hundred years the people of Slunj built their houses directly onto the travertine, letting the river run under the floorboards to turn the mill wheels. Some of the wheels still turn. The whole village is about four hundred metres end to end, which is exactly the right size for a stop between Zagreb and the lakes.

Yes. It sits directly on the D1 between Karlovac and the park, so stopping there costs us 45 minutes of the driver’s time and no extra fuel. We would rather include it than sell it back to you as an upgrade. If you are in a hurry, say no when you book and we drive straight through — the price is the same either way.
Per vehicle. A sedan for three people costs the same as a sedan for one. Tolls, fuel, parking at the park entrance and the driver’s waiting time are all inside the quoted number.
We can, if you ask when booking. Entrance tickets are capped per hour in summer and sell out, so we recommend booking them the moment your transfer is confirmed. We add them at cost, with no markup.
As long as you agreed when booking — usually three to four hours, which covers programme C or H. If you come back later than planned, extra waiting is charged at €12 per hour and you settle it with the driver.
Different, not worse. From December to March the falls partly freeze, the beech forest is under snow and there are almost no people on the boardwalks. Some upper trails and the boat close, so the route is shorter. The roads are cleared and our cars are on winter tyres.
