The drive
The route leaves Zagreb on the A1 towards Karlovac, then turns onto the D1 at Karlovac and follows the Korana valley south. From Karlovac on it stops being a motorway drive: the road runs alongside the river through Slunj and a string of small villages, and the last forty minutes are genuinely worth looking up from your phone for.

Worth knowing before you book
Which entrance
Entrance 1 puts you at the Big Waterfall right away and suits the shorter routes. Entrance 2 is the better start for the upper lakes and for programme H. Tell us which one you want, or ask the driver — he does this daily.
Leaving early pays off
A pickup between 6:30 and 7:30 gets you to the lakes before the coach groups arrive from the coast. In July and August that is the difference between boardwalks you can stop on and boardwalks you shuffle along.
Airport pickups
If you are landing at Franjo Tuđman, we track the flight. Waiting time after landing is included, so a delayed flight does not cost extra.

How long does the drive from Zagreb to Plitvice take?
Around two hours without stops. With the Rastoke stop included in the price, plan on two hours and forty minutes door to door.
Is the Rastoke stop really included?
Yes. Rastoke sits directly on the route in Slunj, about forty minutes before the park, and the stop costs nothing extra. Skipping it does not make the transfer cheaper.
Can you pick us up at Zagreb Airport?
Yes, and the flight is tracked so a delay does not cost you anything. The driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name.
